Sunshine, Flowers and Canal Houses: Why Amsterdam Is The Perfect Setting For A Beautiful Photoshoot
Summer Photoshoot on the Brouwersgracht
So Kristina, Elena and I got up early one Summer morning in July and put together this shoot. Kristina took some absolutely beautiful photos of myself with the lovely bouquet of flowers styled by Elena. I was just tasked with holding them and trying to look pretty! The morning sun was so lovely and there was only a small amount of other people around, mostly on their way to work. What a lovely way to start the day before heading to work myself.
Kristina is great at giving direction for the poses and making you feel relaxed, even when my big bunch off flowers were drawing quite a lot of attention. She also had well thought out the specific locations she wanted to shoot, so the pictures were done quickly and efficiently. Elena was great at helping me out with my fly away hair and hat while my hands were rather full and cleverly fixed my dress with some of her twine for securing the flowers. I also got to take some of the flowers home after the shoot (I only have a small vase at home).
The shoot took place on the Brouwersgracht, my favourite street in Amsterdam ( I am not biased) and just a short distance from my home. This street I walk every day, but always enjoy the beauty. Each time I walk up and down, I notice things I have never seen before. I love looking in peoples windows (sorry neighbours) and discovering the different ways people make their house a home.
You can find more of Kristina's photoshoots on her website www.kutena.nl and her Instagram @kutena_photography and if you need a beautiful bouquet of flowers for any reason you must give @elenastylz a message! The hat used for the photoshoot was from Demure located on Korte Marnixstraat 5 (@demure_amsterdam).
See you soon around Amsterdam....
