Time To Discover Something New….

So, today I am going to write about something that is relatively new to me. Recently I have been trying something called ‘Shilajit’ from a brand called Nutrients of Nature. I hadn’t heard much about this product so I went a did a bit of reading about it and have been testing the product! Here’s a little info about Shilajit and how I found taking it.

What Is Shilajit?

It all started around 50 million years ago when the Indian continent collided into Asia and formed the Himalayan mountain range. As this took place, tropical forests were forcefully crushed between the rocks. The compressed forest over a long period of time then formed into a nutrient and mineral rich biomass containing high levels of humic and fulvic acids. Fulvic acid is a group of organic acids, natural compounds and organic matter which contains over 70 different anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals and when ingested, helps to transport them into the body’s cells. During the Summer time in the Himalayas the rocks warm the sticky resin oozes out of the high mountain crevasses. This substance is called Shilajit (shi-lah-jeet) a Sandskrit term for ‘invincible rock’ has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for hundreds of years.
